Mr. Shedd spent nearly 33 years in the U.S. intelligence and national security community, including service at the CIA, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, and the White House/National Security Council. He retired in 2015 from government service as the Acting Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, following four years as its Deputy Director. He currently is a national security consultant and serves on several corporate boards while also dedicating extensive time to non-profit NGO endeavors. He recently published a book, The Great Heist: China’s Epic Campaign to Steal America’s Secrets (HarperCollins), which examines China’s relentless economic espionage against America.
